Gay Marriage
I may have pointed this issue out a while ago but now it has become official... A country that until just 12 years ago was racially segregated under Apartheid now allows gay marriage. We, on the other hand, are just signing laws state by state to ban it. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6159991.stm |

So charles... you got me thinking with your away message. What if you were in the middle of some coitus with a female when you decided to transformer yourself into a truck. Would you just transformer yourself around her and drive off with her looking baffled in the front seat? |

It's nice to hear a few good words about American virtues inbetween all the bad. I do think europeans tend to expect their governments to provide them with everything and to play robin hood for them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4756363.stm |

Katrina
There is a link on the main page of cnn.com that talks about the Katrina deal and how Bush was explicitly warned about the seriousness of the situation. Bush is also shown telling officials that "we are fully prepared" and that they will be given all the federal assistance they need after the storm. I usually prefer to abstain from the bush bashing because I feel like the majority of antibush arguments are simplistic or ignorant and I dont feel like sifting through the bullshit and biases. From what I've seen in this situation, though, I'm still convinced that Katrina is a big mark against the administration. javascript:cnnVideo('play','/video/polit ics/2006/03/01/foreman.bush.katrina.vide o.ap','2006/03/08'); |
